Description:
Bismuth Sulfite Agar is a selective medium designed for isolating Salmonella species, especially Salmonella Typhi, from clinical, food, and environmental samples. It inhibits most Gram-positive and many Gram-negative bacteria, allowing Salmonella to grow as black or greenish-black colonies with a metallic sheen. Enriched with bismuth sulfite and brilliant green, it ensures accurate and reliable detection, ideal for labs and food safety testing.
