Letheen Broth I Modified is a microbiological culture medium primarily used for testing the antimicrobial efficacy of quaternary ammonium compounds and for neutralizing disinfectants in microbiological testing. This medium supports the recovery and enumeration of bacteria from personal care products, cosmetics, and environmental samples. It is widely used in pharmaceutical and industrial microbiology.

- Type: Microbiological Culture Medium (Modified)
- Appearance: Beige to light brown, free-flowing powder
- Purity: ≥ 98%
- Solubility: Soluble in distilled water
- pH (at 25°C): 7.0 ± 0.2 (in 1.5% w/v aqueous solution)
- Application: Used for testing quaternary ammonium compounds, microbial recovery, and disinfectant neutralization
- Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place (10–30°C), tightly sealed
- Shelf Life: 2–3 years under recommended storage conditions
- Composition (typical): Peptic digest of animal tissue, beef extract, lecithin, polysorbate 80, sodium chloride, etc.
